Bilic's signings last summer have been atrocious overall and especially Strikers that can't score...
Many bought for the wrong reasons...short term fixes...supposed EUROPA games ...squad fillers etc
Time for a Director of Football thst has a proven ability to spot good talent and can take a long term view on squad development...
Let Bilic focus solely on coaching...motivation team selection etc if he can...cos Relegation would be a disaster...
Ic he won't accept a DOF...get a Coach who will...

I guess I just think we need far more than just someone to make all our signings - we obviously need to do a lot more work on scouting and knowing who the good players are in the first place

We don't need a dof
Weneeda system like Southampton whereby they have a way of playing and a dossier of all the players who could potentially replace any players if they are sold; and a dossier of managers who play the same style they like
We have a manager that the owners have continually reminded us wasn't even our first choice

I agree Henry's role should be beefed up. He did the business for us (and Everton tbf) when he was left to lead the recruitment. He has good contacts apparently (didn't he offer Sully Ronaldo at Brum for 6 mill because he was mates with Jorges Mendes?)
I wonder what Jason Dodd is up to? He did an amazing job as the Southampton Academy Director a few years ago, I wonder if he got a cut of the talent he brought through and they sold?!
